John, We started our radio pledge drive a week ago with just half the number of days, along with a promise to end as soon as we hit the goal. The response was so overwhelming we’ve canceled the last day of the drive, scheduled for tomorrow. That makes today the last day of the radio pledge drive! Of course, we haven’t hit our goal yet. We still need to raise around $120,000 to reach $1,450,000. If you’ve been meaning to lend a hand, today is the day. Please become a member today! |

This has been a trying year, and nobody in Northern California has remained untouched. No sooner had the impeachment ended than the pandemic arrived, followed by economic upheaval, widespread social unrest and now one of the most talked-about election seasons in memory. It all demands fearless journalism untethered from commercial concerns. Individuals provide nearly 60% of KQED’s budget, but they also supply 100% of our editorial independence. It’s what you value, and we’ll bring it to you as long as we can count on your support. Since the pandemic began, we’ve cut our on-air fundraising on the radio by around 70% and we’re pleased to eliminate one more day tomorrow. It’s thanks to the generosity of the people we serve, so if you can afford to help, please donate today. We serve Northern California with programming and resources that inform, inspire and involve. We take that responsibility very seriously, and we’re grateful for your help. |
