Dear John,

One fateful night in 2004, we had the harebrained idea to throw a dozen literary community events…simultaneously! You all came. You all listened. And you all clamored for more. Fast forward twenty years, tens of thousands of attendees, thousands of readers…there’s still nothing quite like Lit Crawl San Francisco.

Each year, we hand over the reins to dozens of collaborators, all local, mostly emerging, next gen writers, writing groups, magazines, presses. Lit Crawl is by YOU and for YOU.  You connect person to person over shared stories and experiences. You pack spaces large and small, from galleries to laundromats to specialty stores, as together we celebrate our city, our stories. Your gift today will allow San Francisco’s voices a place to shine.

Lit Crawl San Francisco IS San Francisco. A bit unwieldy, a bit messy, sure, but like San Francisco, Lit Crawl is an experiment undoubtedly worth showing up for. This year, with our collaborators, we plan to showcase nearly 50 programs with more than 200 authors in just 3 short hours.
