Cecelia experienced a back twinge, which was unfortunately the first symptom of a more serious health issue. After the pain worsened and Cecelia underwent a biopsy, she was diagnosed with an incurable form of blood cancer, multiple myeloma.

Following a stem cell transplant, Cecelia was then introduced to a new treatment that our researchers have helped develop, which targets and destroys cancer-driving proteins.
Five years later, Cecelia’s life is back to as normal as she could hope for. She works full-time and frequently travels with her family, taking just one daily pill to keep her cancer at bay.
