Climate change is a serious problem. We all know that.
And Sierra Club California is helping deliver solutions.
Just in 2018, we’ve helped pass a 100 percent clean energy bill for the electricity sector. We helped pass a bill that makes sure the feds can’t easily sell off coastal waters to the highest bidding oil company. And as I write this, we’re awaiting a vote at a state agency that will make sure that all public transit buses deliver cleaner air, not dirty tailpipe pollution.
California’s environmental leadership is essential now more than ever.
Sierra Club California has had advocates working in the state capitol and at regulatory agencies for more than 30 years. That work has directly helped shape and prompt California’s environmental leadership in the world.
