With the fall of the U.S.-backed Afghan government, we have been swamped keeping track of all the news. But thats what were here for. Each day, our page has been full of all the important Afghanistan updates, both original articles, and links to other stories around the web.

How quickly the Taliban took over Afghanistan demonstrated that the staff and columnists of Antiwar.com were right about the futility of the war all along. But being right in this business does not mean you get paid. Back during the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, the entire media establishment was trying to convince the world that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Antiwar.com was confident that he didnt, and we were right.

While The New York Times reporters that got Iraq wrong continued to receive their six-figure salaries, here at Antiwar.com, we continued to operate on a shoestring budget. We are entirely reader-funded, and we are better for it. We will also never put our content behind a paywall because honest coverage of the Empire is something everyone needs access to.

But this means about four times each year, we need to ask our readers to reach into their pockets and help us continue this important project. We cant do it without you.
