Self Assessment, Help and support with decorative image

Dear customer,

If you need to send us an online tax return – including the self-employment pages – and make a payment, you have until the 31‌‌‌ January‌‌‌ 2025. Otherwise, you may risk having to pay a penalty.

If you have since filed and paid or have no actions to take – thank you. You don’t need to do anything else. You can ignore this email and ask us to stop sending you further emails about Self Assessment for the 2023 to 2024 tax year.

However, if you need any extra help, don’t delay. We have online support to help you get it right.

You can join the following live webinars, during which you can ask questions using the on-screen text box:

If you can’t pay in full by 31‌‌‌‌‌‌ January‌‌‌ 2025

If you can’t pay in full, we may be able to help by arranging an affordable payment plan. Our short YouTube video 'How to set up a Time to Pay arrangement online for Self Assessment' will guide you through each step.

You’ll find more information on our help and support pages.

Something to remember when sending us your next Self Assessment tax return

You don’t have to wait until 31‌‌‌ January to file your return. Filing early means receiving your refund sooner if we owe you money. If you need to make a payment, however, knowing in advance how much to pay makes budgeting easier for you.

Yours faithfully
