“The collector car market continues to be lively as we enter the second quarter of 2023, though average sale prices have tapered from their summer 2022 peak. However, we continue to grow in the ever-important categories of total vehicles listed, sold, new bidder registrations, and our marketplace has more eyes than ever.” –Hemmings Auctions Operations Director, Terry Shea. |

Collectability Callout: C3 Chevrolet Corvette |
The C3 Corvette was and still is a looker. Having played second fiddle to its C1 and C2 siblings for years, this iteration of Chevrolet’s iconic sports car is starting to come into its own from a collectability standpoint. Sharp lines, big- and small-block engine options, visceral 4-speed transmissions, and summer ready T-top and convertible options are but a few of the attractive attributes the C3 ‘Vette has to offer. Since 2020, Hemmings has sold 68 C3 Corvettes and observed the following increase in model value. Looking for a C3 Corvette? Check out this Buyer's Guide! |
All C3s are not created equal however, with collectors preferring chrome-bumper examples, big-block and high-spec small-block cars, and convertibles. |

With a high-revving engine and soulful driving experience, Honda’s S2000 captivated sports car enthusiasts everywhere when it hit the market in 1999. Now, 24 years old– just one year shy of most states' classic vehicle requirement– the open-top rocket is becoming ripe for the picking. |

Auction tip of the month: Video Brings Depth and Interest to Any Listing |
Hemmings listings allow for copious photos, but what newcomers might not know is including video adds reassurance to the quality of the offering. If a bidder can see and hear a cold start-up, a walk-around, or view of the cockpit and gauges while driving, it goes a long way toward letting bidders know just how well the listed car operates.
