Jesus,
you are the word made flesh,
the almighty word from heaven,
the word of life.
May I hear only your word.
May I speak only your word.
May my very flesh be shaped by the word of God.
I wish to listen with respect, to speak with reverence
and relish the words of truth and compassion.
Give me now your word to hear
so I may know that word to speak.
