Good morning and welcome back to another edition of Acadiana Business Today. Let's get cracking with the headlines. 

After at least eateries in the Lafayette area closed last year, surely the industry couldn’t get any worse. Right?

The blues from last year rolled over into the first few months of 2023, making some to offer pleas to eat out and support local restaurants. The closings, however, subsided about halfway through and more openings came to make the year better than last.
