Here's how sugar cane fared in the snow

More on the winter storm that was the worst in over 100 years: sugar cane farmers could have had it a whole lot worse.

It would have spelled disaster if it had frozen earlier in the season. But the real saving grace was the blanket of snow that covered much of the ground throughout Acadiana. 

"If it wouldn't have snowed, it would have been a bad deal," Andre said.
