Here's what you'd have to earn to afford a fair market rate 2-bedroom apartment in Lafayette

Think the fair market rate for an apartment is truly fair? Renting an two-bedroom unit at that rate rate in the Lafayette area would require someone earning over $17 an hour, a housing advocacy group announced. Folks in the rental market continue to get crunched amid rising prices and overall inflation. Rents in Lafayette are trending downward but are still over 20% higher than pre-pandemic rates.
