AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO:The 36th annual South by Southwest Music Festival has announced a second round of performers, which includes up-and-coming and established artists like A-Wall, Black Lips, Charlie Hickey and Circuit Des Yeux. The festival takes place March 14-20 in Austin.
CHICAGO:Chef José Andrés and Gibsons Restaurant Group have opened two new culinary concepts in the Bank of America Tower. Bazaar Meat offers theatrical interpretations of meat and vegetables, and Bar Mar does the same for seafood and creative cocktails. Bazaar Meat has a main dining room, a 10-seat bar and an eight-seat meat bar, while Bar Mar has 200 seats and 40-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.
LAS VEGAS:The Doobie Brothers have announced that they will be headlining an eight-show exclusive limited engagement starting on May 13, 2022. The shows will run until May 28 and will be held at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. These performances follow the success of the band's 50th-anniversary tour; tickets go on sale today.
LOS ANGELES:The SANTA Monica Pub Crawl will return for its 13th year on Dec. 18. More than 20 bars and restaurants will come together to raise money for the Westside Food Bank, and participants are encouraged to dress up to win prizes. Tickets start at $20 in advance and include free cover charges, one free drink, food and beverage specials and entry into the after-party.
