NATIONAL: The Global Down Syndrome Foundation will host its Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show virtually on Nov. 13. The show is one of the largest fundraisers for Down syndrome research and will feature a performance from Grammy Award-winning artist Sara Bareilles, while pro football Hall of Fame inductee and general manager of the San Francisco 49ers John Lynch will receive the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award alongside Peruvian advocate and politician Bryan Russell Mujica. There are 26 different models with Down syndrome walking in this year's show; tickets are $25.

Global event production company J & S Audio Visual (JSAV) has rebranded as INSPIRE in an effort to showcase its more integrated, full-service production offerings along with creative, digital and venue services for in-person, hybrid and virtual events. INSPIRE has over 35 years of experience and creates over 2,500 events per year.

LOS ANGELES: Audio entertainment company Audacy will host its eighth annual “We Can Survive” concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 23. The show aims to normalize mental health struggles and raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; performers will include Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Doja Cat, Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes and more.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: After a one-year absence, Taste of SLS will take over the SLS South Beach on Nov. 11. Formerly known as Taste of SBE, the event will showcase 10 different culinary and mixology experiences along with a DJ set from Mark Ronson. SLS is also hosting a secondary culinary event, Taste of Fi’lia, at SLS Brickell on Nov. 12.

WASHINGTON, DC: The National Cherry Blossom Festival, sponsored by Chase, is holding its tree-planting ceremony in Oxon Run Park at 9 a.m. today. Organizers aim to plant at least 30 trees in honor of the first 30 children who received a badge through the festival's Blossom Kids program. The trees will be ready for the annual festival, held in the spring from March
to April.
