Bitcoin Is Here To Stay And Bitcoiners Aren’t Going Anywhere

To begin with, we didn’t even choose the phrase Bitcoin Maximalism. Bitcoin Maximalism was first used by Vitalik Buterin while trying to normalize pre-mining and ICOs, obvious functions of scams.
However, it doesn’t really matter what you call us — Bitcoin Maximalism is about the principles, the ideology and the ethos of cypherpunks who created Bitcoin.
The reason Bitcoin Maximalists have adopted a culture of pushing back and making people uncomfortable is because that mission is more important than people’s feelings. We don’t care if we miss out on a pump and dump opportunity, we don’t care about your “eco-friendly” pre-mined ICO and we don’t care about your million-dollar JPG of a monkey. We care about those suffering from financial oppression, inflation and the never-ending consequences of the horrible political monopoly over money. We care about humankind and our future. |
