BRSO-Quarterly Sondernewsletter Livestream: Christian Thielemann Kaum zu glauben, dass Christian Thielemann noch nie am Pult des Symphonieorchesters des Bayerischen Rundfunks stand. Jetzt aber ist die Gelegenheit, ihn mit seinem bevorzugten Repertoire der deutschen Romantik sowie mit Richard Strauss zu erleben. Dieses besondere Debüt leitet effektvoll die Blechbläser-Fanfare ein, die Strauss den Wiener Philharmonikern gewidmet hat, gefolgt von der selten gespielten Sonatine Nr. 1 für 16 Bläser. Das Spätwerk Aus der Werkstatt eines Invaliden, das im Zweiten Weltkrieg (1943) nach einer schweren Grippe-Erkrankung entstand, zeigt Strauss’ vollendete Kunst der orchestral aufgefächerten Bläserbehandlung. Etwa hundert Jahre zuvor hat Schumann sein Opus 52 komponiert, kurz nach seiner Ersten Symphonie. Aufgrund der Dreiteiligkeit – ohne langsamen Satz – empfand es Schumann »leichter« als eine Symphonie und nannte es mal Suite, mal Sinfoniette. Am Ende wurde das Werk unter dem Titel Ouvertüre, Scherzo und Finale veröffentlicht. Erleben Sie heute Abend das Konzert im Video-Livestream in unserer Mediathek!
