BRSO-Quarterly Sondernewsletter Livestream: Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla & Francesco Piemontesi Die herausragende litauische Dirigentin Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla setzt sich für zu Unrecht vergessene Komponisten ein wie Mieczysław Weinberg, einen Freund Schostakowitschs. Seine Zweite Symphonie von 1946, ein ergreifender Rückblick auf die düsteren Kriegsjahre, wurde von ihr erstmals auf CD eingespielt. Dieser bewegenden Wiederentdeckung stellt sie Mozarts letztes Klavierkonzert KV 595 gegenüber, das wegen seines hoffnungsvollen Finales zu einem der beliebtesten Konzerte Mozarts gehört und den Schweizer Pianisten Francesco Piemontesi wieder zum BRSO führt. Das Rondo-Thema zog Mozart für sein Lied Sehnsucht nach dem Frühling KV 596 heran: der Eingangsvers »Komm, lieber Mai, und mache« kann dem gesanglichen Finale des Klavierkonzerts unterlegt werden. Die nachfolgende Leonoren-Ouverture Beethovens beschreibt mit ihrem befreienden Trompetensignal den politischen Frühling nach einer mörderischen Diktatur.
