Hi — it’s time to celebrate an epic Ausmusic Month! | | |

This month we doubled down on our appreciation of the local artists whose work brings music and joy to our lives all year round.
Throughout November we’ve celebrated the best homegrown Australian music, made right here in our own backyard.
Early in the month we heard the music that connects the red sands of Sudan and the rich soil of the Australian outback, before learning about the curious and evocative sounds of Australian period dramas.
We followed Emma Donovan on an epic geographical journey of music and stories from the Torres Strait islands, across all of Arnhem Land, through Murri Country in Queensland, down the mid north Coast across Bungalang and Gumbayggirr Country, right through to Yorta Yorta Country, Victoria's Arrette Country and Noongar Boodja in WA.
The industry remembered the legend Michael Gudinski and his legacy, after farewelling the Aussie music icon this year.
And we listened as Perth rockers Methyl Ethel performed a new-meets-old mash-up of The Avalanches' Frontier Psychiatrist and Sycco's Dribble.
Before the month is out, let’s squeeze every last drop from of the days remaining in Ausmusic Month and enjoy the incredibly diverse, authentic and inspiring soundtrack that Aussie music brings us year-on-year.
