11 November 2020 Mayor's MessageWelcome to the November edition of Wanneroo Link. Springtime is all about vibrant colour, and I’m sure many residents have been enjoying all the vivid wildflowers and plants these past few weeks, with spring walks and talks led by some fantastic volunteer-run groups like Friends of Koondoola Bushland, Yanchep Coastcare and Keep Tapping Tidy being held across the City. Later this month, the popular Garage Sale Trail initiative will run over the weekend of 21 and 22 November. This year’s event is all about helping you make and save some money. The City of Wanneroo is proud to support this sustainability initiative designed to help local residents put second-hand first. Whether you want to hold a garage sale at home or simply shop the trail and score a bargain, Australia’s biggest weekend of garage sales is the perfect chance to reduce waste going to landfill and dispose of unwanted items responsibly.
