Hidden Gems of Spain

Spain is a unified nation- but you wouldn't know it from traveling there. Each region's culture is as distinct from that of the rest as another country's. Just as the landscape varies from sun-soaked olive orchards in Andalucía to rainy and verdant hills in Galicia, so too do the languages and cuisines change. And of course, the fierce identities of Spain's unique cities can hardly be ignored. Here are our top picks in Spain:

1. Toledo

Welcome to Toledo, the world's oldest proponent for coexistence. In this ancient city perched atop a massive hill and surrounded by its very own moat, wander down any street and you're likely to find a Star of David, Arabic script, and a cross. Today, you'll find yourself at the heart of Spain's Catholic pulse, Spain's greatest cathedral is located just blocks away from Toledo's central Plaza. Read more about our top picks in Spain here

2. Sevilla

Tell anyone in the South of Spain that you're visiting Sevilla and the typical response will be, "So lucky, I love that city." Stroll through the twisting streets of the ancient port city and discover centuries of history within the architecture. The city is rich, in its history, diversity, and people, offering visitors authentic southern Spain experiences while also catering to a burgeoning youth population looking' for a good night on the town. 3. Santiago de Compostela

Santiago de Compostela is the lively and multicultural capital of Galicia. For Christians, it is famous for being the burial grounds of St. James, one of the 12 apostles of Christ. It is the end destination for many travelers walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. The town has one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Spain, gorgeous open parks and museums, exciting streets and bars in the evening, and open arms towards all travelers.
