High Real Estate Group Gives Annual C&I Council Presentation
On February 10th High Real Estate Group gave its annual Commercial & Industrial Real Estate Council presentation as a virtual event for the first time. The 35-year tradition was attended by more than 150 Lancaster-area industry professionals.
President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Fitzgerald began his remarks with an assessment of the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic and its potential market impact on the economic recovery that began in 2020. He gave a macro-level overview of the national economic trends and the commercial real estate market, including his insights on capital markets, underwriting, investor sentiment, and cap rates.
Details on Lancaster’s commercial market were given by Senior Vice President of Commercial Asset Management Mike Lorelli. Powell Arms, Senior Vice President & Managing Director of the Retail Division covered the retail asset class and David Aungst, President of High Hotels explained how hotels and the hospitality industry generally, despite being hit first and hardest by Covid-19, have been coping and the fallout that may come before better days return.
