Hi John,
PlatformQ Education, the leading developer of online engagement software and strategies, and mStoner, higher education's premier creative agency, today announced PlatformQ Education’s acquisition of the Higher Ed Live professional development network.
For the past ten years, Higher Ed Live, has offered viewers direct access to the best and brightest minds in education and allowed viewers to share knowledge and participate in discussions around the most important issues in the industry. Episodes feature knowledgeable hosts conducting exclusive interviews with professionals from institutions; journalists; consultants; and other thought leaders. Recently, mStoner announced plans to discontinue the network at the end of 2020. Understanding the importance of Higher Ed Live to the higher education community, PlatformQ Education approached mStoner to take over and reinvigorate the network for the next ten years.
“Having served as a guest, host, sponsor and contributor to Higher Ed Live over the years, I cannot overstate how excited I am for the opportunity for the network to continue in its rightful role as the industry leader of content to support and influence higher education leaders.” Gil Rogers, Executive Vice President at PlatformQ Education said. “We look forward to continuing the showcasing of and providing a meaningful platform to the best and brightest minds in education. Our commitment is to ensure the network addresses the unique challenges of our time in meaningful ways that have a real impact.”
“We’re really delighted that the PlatformQ Education team is taking on the responsibility for producing Higher Ed Live,” said Michael Stoner, co-founder and co-owner of mStoner, Inc. “These are difficult times for higher ed: we need places to learn from each other and share our best ideas about how to sustain and advance education. Their commitment to Higher Ed Live will help it to fulfill that key role now. And I know that Higher Ed Live will thrive under PlatformQ Education’s stewardship, becoming even more vibrant and vital than it already is.”
As part of the transition, PlatformQ Education vice president of strategy and operations Mallory Willsea will resume her role as the network’s Executive Producer. The network will relaunch in the spring of 2021 with a fresh slate of content, hosts and guests. Leveraging the higher education industry-standard webcasting platform, Conduit, select episodes of Higher Ed Live will simulcast to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube Live; providing unparalleled access to content. Additionally, the HIgher Ed Live podcast will continue to be accessible on all leading podcasting platforms.
best,
