George Floyd was laid to rest as nationwide protests continued
About 500 guests, including civil rights leaders, celebrities, and politicians, attended the funeral of Floyd, who was laid to rest in his hometown of Houston on Tuesday at the Fountain of Praise church. CrossFit’s CEO has stepped down after he was captured on audio telling staff: “We’re not mourning for George Floyd.”
The company released a statement from Greg Glassman saying that he had "decided to retire" and was stepping down as CEO after BuzzFeed News obtained the audio of the Zoom call Glassman had with gym owners where he made other egregious statements, such as sharing conspiracy theories about the coronavirus.
