Hip love

Dear Yogi,

As most of us spend too many hours sitting, ‘tight hips’ can be a common issue for many of us. Our hips also work hard to support us when we stand, walk or run, and are unconsciously activated when we are stressed or angry.

When our hip muscles, particularly the hip flexors, become tight, they can affect our posture, mobility, and even contribute to back pain. There are hundreds of postures in yoga which can help to build strength, improve mobility, and increase flexibility in the hips. Additionally, they can help to release tension and emotional load.

Give your hips some love with our articles and classes below.

“Oh my goodness! That was the most profound class! Had the most deep-seated clicks and pops as my hip joints released what felt like years of being locked up. Felt knees release, lengthening of the front of my thighs, and a deep sense of peace. Just wow, thank you.”
