Univision is set to bring back music competition show Va Por Ti on July 17, and has secured Latin music superstars Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Prince Royce and Wisin as performers for its annual youth-targeted awards show Premios Juventud, set for July 14. Cinelatino, WAPA Go Upfront With '16-'17 Plans
Hemisphere Media Group-owned WAPA Amrica and Cinelatino have revealed their respective programming plans for 2016-17 including Cinelatinos four telefilms from the producers of the popular El Seor de los Cielos and a telenovela and new branding effort for WAPA America. Telemundo O&Os Set to Add Local News at 5
Telemundo Station Group will launch a new, 30-minute local newscast at 5 p.m. (4 p.m. CT) at 14 of its stations starting Sept. 26. The additional newscasts come less than two years after the 14 stations added local news programs at 5:30 p.m. (ET). More»

Journalist Camilo Egaa has taken over the 9 p.m. slot on CNN en Espaol with a news-driven talk show titled Kmilo. He replaces 15-year veteran Ismael Cala, who said he stepped away from the network to focus on a career as a motivational speaker and author. More

Telemundo, Keshet Strike Development Deal
The global distribution arm of the Israeli media company responsible for the show that inspired Showtimes Homeland has agreed to co-develop and produce an original scripted series that will likely air weeknights at 10 p.m. More

Movers & Shakers
Jimena Gonzalez has been named co-anchor of Telemundo Arizonas afternoon and evening newscasts, which air weeknights and weekends at 4:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on KTAZ Phoenix and KHRR Tucson. She will also co-anchor the stations' 5 p.m. weekday newscasts. Gonzalez previously anchored the morning newscast for KBNT, Univisions San Diego affiliate.

Melissa Sandoval has joined Telemundo-owned KDEN in Denver as a multimedia journalist. She previously held a similar role at Univision flagship WLTV in Miami.
