| Over 1,400 people attended open days at Lewes Combined Court and Ipswich Magistratesâ Court last month. Our short video shows inside both courts and follows visitors as they learn more about how justice works in their communities and meet a couple of police dogs along the way.  |

| We are currently introducing an adapted search for Professional Usersâ Access Scheme members. This follows our continuous review of risk assessments to ensure the safety of all court users, keep security measures proportionate and in doing so allow smooth access to our buildings by minimising queues. Details of the adapted search are in the updated scheme âConditions of Entryâ guidance, that has been circulated to all organisations that have participating members. The adapted search is currently being used in 95% of our court and tribunal sites. Weâre grateful to professional users for their patience while the changes are rolled-out to our remaining sites by the end of October 2024. |

| Works to improve the heating, cooling and ventilation systems at Barnet Civil and Family Court have been approved. The building will close temporarily after court sittings on Friday 29 November for an anticipated period of 10 months while the work is completed. During this time, hearings will take place at other courts across London. |

| A new function was introduced to MyHMCTS on Tuesday 1 October for those working in the civil jurisdiction. The Updating Details and Adding Attendees (UDAA) release allows legal representatives and in some circumstances staff to make changes to information for participants already named on the directionsâ questionnaire. This includes amending details of the participants' address, email, and telephone number. Dates to avoid can also be added. |
