Hello Fellow Woodworkers,

It is not far until the end of the year - We will be out of the workshop from the 19th of December until the 9th of January. Any orders made over this time period will be sent away once we return from holidays. If you would like to order any tools for Christmas we recommend ordering early to ensure you receive your tools on time.   The last day we can post an order is Monday 19 Dec and if you are in Australia you should receive the tool before Christmas, but that one is in the hands of Australia post. If you are buying from outside Australia we would recommend ordering before the 12th December if you want the tool for a Christmas present.

We have recently uploaded a video to our YouTube channel which sheds some light on the process of creating a HNT Gordon plane.   There are some good wood working techniques that you may be able to use in your woodwork.   You can view this video on our YouTube channel.

The Tasmanian Wooden Boat Show is being held on the 10th - 13th of February 2017, with both HNT Gordon and Colen Clenton Tools available to try or buy. This is a fantastic show, and we would definitely recommend heading to Tasmania for the experience! I will not be attending, however two trusty workers from HNT will be attending for me.  For more information on this show head to the Australian Wooden Boat Festival Website.

The week after the Tasmanian show is the Sturt Tools and Techniques weekend held in Mittagong on the 17th & 18th of February. I will be attending (hence why I won't be in Tazzy the week prior), as well as Colen Clenton Tools and many other great exhibitors.

Thank you for all your support, we greatly appreciate it! We hope you all have a great Christmas/holiday period and are able to enjoy some time in the workshop :) Don't forget to keep your blades sharp and ensure you keep the bevel angle at about 30 degrees for a robust sharp edge.
