Emil Wakim is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. Emil was born and raised in Chicago before moving to Bloomington, Indiana for college where he began performing stand-up. This fall, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live for its milestone 50th season as the first Lebanese- American cast member. Emil made his late-night television debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and is featured on Don't Tell Comedy as well as Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Featuring and was selected as a New Face of Comedy at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. |

| December 08 PLAYLAND conjures a time-bending night in Boston’s oldest and most notorious gay bar. Featuring an eclectic ensemble of queer performers, including drag icon Lady Bunny and POSE’s Danielle Cooper, the transdisciplinary film sees music, dance, archival footage, tableaux, opera, and performance art layered into an ethereal piece subverting all boundaries. The work of queer fantasy and history takes place inside the empty husk of the Playland Café. Although the cafe shut down in the late ’90s, PLAYLAND stages one last bawdy night on the town for the ghosts of their LGBTQ+ ancestors. |

He can currently be seen regularly performing on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, and was also seen recently playing Richard Nixon on the Hulu series HISTORY OF THE WORLD: PART II, the follow up to the seminal Mel Brooks film. He’s also known for playing Bernie Sanders in the hit project TRUMP VS BERNIE, which resulted in a sold-out international tour, a #1 comedy album (TRUMP VS BERNIE: LIVE IN BROOKLYN), and two-hour long comedy specials on Fusion. He also interviewed Bernie Sanders (as Bernie Sanders) on his podcast The Underculture.
