Dear John,

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Innocents. This feast commemorates the death of the male children in Bethlehem who were two years of age or under. King Herod the Great had ordered this, in order to ensure that the infant Messiah would be unable to displace him on his throne.

This is why Saint Joseph was told in a dream to take the Child and the Blessed Virgin and flee to Egypt to escape the persecution of King Herod.

Today, we hope that you will visit our online resource that highlights the Feast of the Holy Innocents. On this page, you can also sign up for the free eBook, Pro-Life Prayers. This book contains prayers for the unborn, for those with profound disabilities, and several other prayers. We hope that, especially on this Feast of the Holy Innocents, you will join us as we pray for the most vulnerable among us.

You can visit the page and sign up for the eBook here: ewtn.com/holyinnocents. We pray that this resource inspires you.

May God bless you.

In Christ,
