Supportive government framework and policies are expected to enable the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to emerge as the global epicentre for the growth of artificial intelligence (AI), according to one global analytics firm.

Australian-listed knowledge management cloud software provider Knosys has signed a contract with ANZ Bank New Zealandto implement a standalone KnowledgeIQ system, situated on the bank’s premise in New Zealand.

Two-thirds of banking executives believe that new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning will continue to have the greatest impact on the global banking sector in the next five years, according to a new report conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for banking software company Temenos.

Analytics platform provider Tableau Software has expanded its cloud capability for Asia Pacific customers with the launch of new regions in Australia and Japan for its fully hosted SaaS offering, Tableau Online.
