Adam Walsh Remembrance Day
"On this day, we honor the memory of my brother Adam and stand united in our commitment to child safety. Let us transform our grief into action, ensuring every child has a safe childhood. Together, we can make a difference."
- Callahan Walsh, Adam's Brother and Executive Director of NCMEC

Remembering Adam Walsh This Saturday, July 27th, marks 43 years since my brother Adam was abducted from a Florida department store and tragically murdered at just six years old.

Following this unimaginable loss, my parents, John and Revé Walsh, recognized the urgent need to help other children and families facing similar crises. Together with other child advocates, they co-founded the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). This private, non-profit organization serves as the national resource center for information about missing and exploited children.

In the four decades since NCMEC's founding, we have assisted law enforcement in recovering more than 426,000 missing children. While our operations have expanded significantly, we remain deeply committed to honoring Adam's memory through our work. Programs like Team Adam, a rapid deployment group of experienced retired law enforcement officers, our Adam Program, which alerts citizens and businesses when a child is missing in their area, and Code Adam, ensuring the safety of children in businesses, parks, and government buildings, all pay tribute to him.

Each year, on the anniversary of Adam's disappearance, we remember that his story drives us to help missing and exploited children. Today, I ask you to honor my brother by viewing and sharing photos of missing children and making a donation to support NCMEC's ongoing efforts to bring kids home safely.

Your support helps us continue our mission and honors Adam's legacy. Thank you for being part of our journey to protect children and reunite families.

Sincerely,
Callahan Walsh
