 By KELLY P. KISSEL Law officers painted a grim picture for the final moments of an LSU student's life. Arrest documents say the woman was raped before being dropped off in a neighborhood, and she died after being struck by a car on Burbank. LSU administrators are not happy with the amount of alcohol involved, and noted that three of the four people accused of crimes so far were served alcohol despite not yet being 21.
And police say a nightclub where 12 people were shot and wounded during the weekend was hosting a college party. BRPD said previously that it believed the shooting was a targeted attack against someone, and that multiple people ended up hurt.
Keep an eye on the weather today. The Storm Prediction Center says there is an "enhanced" risk of severe weather today. We're practically assured of strong winds beginning this afternoon, and there's a chance of a tornado tonight. Areas closer to the coast are subject to the highest risk, as are areas where dewpoints reach the mid- to upper 60s. Tonight that pocket of humid air is expected to reach as far north as the Baton Rouge area. |
