| 🌤️ Enjoy a mostly dry Friday after a soggy and stormy couple of days. We’ll start the day cloudy, but clouds should decrease in the afternoon. Highs will range from the low 80s to the low 70s, 🌧️ More storms will track into western Minnesota late Friday night into early Saturday. There’s a chance some storms could hold together and reach eastern Minnesota. During the day Saturday, more storms will develop late in the afternoon. 🌡️ Sunday storm chances look more isolated with likely drier conditions. | 🚧 Major freeway closures planned in Twin Cities this weekend. Closures will affect parts of Interstates 35W and 494 in Richfield and Bloomington, as well as a stretch of Interstate 94 in St. Paul. All of the closures are set to begin at 10 p.m. Friday and wrap up by 5 a.m. Monday. 🏳️🌈 Bringing back the ‘gayborhood’ in Loring Park: New Pride Cultural Arts Center debuts. The Pride Cultural Arts Center by Twin Cities Pride recently opened in Minneapolis. It serves as a community hub for artists, organizations and resources for the LGBTQ+ community. 🪶 Minnesota corn fields pose migration risk for songbirds, study shows. A Cornell University study has found that songbirds are changing their migration patterns when traveling through what’s known as the Corn Belt, vast stretches of farmland in the Midwest. 🧻 Shakopee Correctional Facility inmates say the prison is rationing basic hygiene products. Tampons and pads are among the items being rationed, according to inmates, but the Department of Corrections disputes that. It says it is continuing to provide products. 📃 Vance Boelter's wife releases statement after his arrest for Minnesota lawmaker shootings. The wife of Vance Boelter, the man suspected of killing former DFL Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, released a public statement Thursday. 🏛️ Medicaid changes don't meet Senate rules in 'big, beautiful bill' says parliamentarian. The nonpartisan Senate parliamentarian, who plays a key role in determining what provisions can stay in the fast-tracked bill, said the GOP change does not adhere to rules for passing the bill with a simple majority.
