Note from the Instructor | Grow the profession | by Laurie Prescott I recently had a conversation with a CDI specialist working in Canada. The profession is very young there and has not had the benefit of the years of growth and resource building we have had in the United States. I found her comments refreshing and invigorating. Often, one of the unfortunate side effects of maturity is a jaded view or one that has become tarnished over time. This young CDI specialist’s excitement over the role, her passion to learn and grow was infectious. She brought me back to when I first started in this industry almost 15 years ago. |

| Blog Highlight | Here's what's been published on the ACDIS Blog in the last week: Tips for entering the world of CDI Note from the ACDIS Director: Calamity, or opportunity? Do you have a tip, story, or perspective to share with the broader ACDIS and CDI community? If you’re interested in writing a piece for the Blog, here are a couple guidelines for you: Length: Typically, 500-700 words. If your post is longer, we may break it into two posts for readability. Content: All things CDI (and coding too)! We love hearing about your experiences and the lessons you’ve learned about CDI along the way. Besides those two guidelines, all you have to do is submit your piece to ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) and Associate Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org). | |
