Hostage Deal Preparation

Recent reports suggest that some of the hostages included in the first phase of the ongoing deal may no longer be alive. As the deal moved forward, ZAKA Tel-Aviv received an internal notice from the government to prepare for the possibility of accepting multiple bodies. Our volunteers remain on standby as this heartbreaking situation continues to unfold.

While we remain hopeful that future phases of the deal will bring better news, with all remaining hostages returning safely, this development is deeply troubling. ZAKA Tel-Aviv is collaborating closely with military and government agencies to assist wherever needed, including the sensitive and essential process of identification.

Our work often involves ensuring victims are identified with dignity and care, helping families receive the answers they need during these incredibly difficult times.
