Country Inn & Suites by Radisson has opened at 2756 Laurens Road in Greenville. The newly renovated hotel features modernized guest rooms, a refreshed lobby and an updated exterior, according to a news release.

Stratos Aviation gets industry nod

Stratos Aviation Flight School in Greenville has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year as an Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Distinguished Flight School “for its high standard of accomplishment in flight training,” according to a news release.

South Carolina is getting $9.75 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to improve high-speed broadband infrastructure serving the state's rural areas.

WWII Vehicle and Jeep Show

This event, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be held at the Military History Center of the Carolinas at the Greenville Downtown Airport. It will feature World War II vehicles, rides in a military Jeep, artifacts and toys. The event includes a hot dog sale and Christmas crafts for the kids.

Fall Festival on Main

The city of Fountain Inn will have a fall festival on Saturday. In addition to hot dogs and other treats, the festival includes a carved pumpkin contest and costume contest. Also, hang out after for a Halloween movie at dusk on Depot Street.
