When Janine and Chris found a 1950s cottage on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, it was exactly what they were looking for: old and riddled with problems. The plan was to knockdown the existing dwelling and, in its place, create their mid-century-inspired dream home with strong principles of flow and proportion. Now that the home is complete, careful details are to be found in every space, mixing sustainability and function with style. It's the perfect example of stylish and sustainable family living. “And of course, this place really maxes out the natural light, which is lovely," says Janine. |
