Despite being overgrown and unloved, homeowner Stefanie Crawford saw plenty of potential in the irregularly-shaped site that would eventually become her hidden oasis. “The land held a peculiar charm for me. I felt transported to a different world, far removed from the hustle and bustle,” she says. After enlisting the help of architect Susi Leeton, the St Kilda home began to take shape, transforming into a light-filled haven filled with second-hand treasures and a wabi-sabi sensibility; a reflection of Stefanie's European childhood and unique personal style. |
