Houston Astros apologize for stealing signs during 2017 World Series-winning season

Two Houston Astros players and owner Jim Crane apologized on Thursday for their roles in a sign-stealing scandal that’s rocked baseball and called their team’s string of success into question.

The apologies came exactly one month after Major League Baseball suspended the team’s manager and general manager for stealing opponents’ pitching signs during its World Series-winning 2017 season. Both were later fired.
