Like many others, watching the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine impacted Sarah Brown, a Salt Lake City resident and Airbnb host, and sparked a desire in her to help Ukrainians. 

“For me, I really was looking for a way to have a direct connection with someone there,” Brown said. 

Brown came up with a creative method of getting money into Ukraine. To help her fellow Airbnb hosts in Ukraine, Brown found a property in Kyiv and booked a "no stay" stay. Essentially, she booked and paid for a stay at the property without actually staying there. 

Brown went one step further and shared her method of assisting Ukrainian Airbnb hosts on social media, and the responses — including one from the host she booked with — have been heart-warming.

Many consumers in the United States have been financially impacted by the steadily growing cost of gas and fuel, resources that the majority of the population rely on. 

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox is among two dozen Republican governors throughout the United States who are urging President Joe Biden to “restore American energy independence." 

“By removing his bans on new oil and gas development on federal lands, building the Keystone XL pipeline, and reinstating regulatory reforms to streamline energy permitting, we can protect our national energy security and sell to our friends rather than buy from our enemies — specifically Russia," their statement said.
