WEALTHTECH

The current fintech environment is bursting at the seams with options for wealth managers. But when the smoke clears and the vendors scatter, what tools actually find forever homes in advisors' stacks?

A new study from ISS Market Intelligence set out the answer to that question by asking more than 800 U.S.-based advisors what's hot, and what's not. More than 95% of respondents said they used technology to handle trading and clearing, portfolio rebalancing and/or investment analytics.

The analysis also provided insight on the difference in enthusiasm toward direct indexing between wirehouse advisors and the RIA channel; and it found that ease of use is a bigger factor than company reputation or longevity when picking fintech solutions.

Also new this week: advice on how advisors can level up their social media game; details on the perks Schwab is rolling out to its wealthiest clients; and why SMArtX is so excited to give away some of its newest tech for free
