Endovenous laser treatment - Procedure 215

Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), also called endovenous laser ablation, is a minimally invasive procedure involving the use of a highly concentrated laser to repair varicose veins. Typically found in the legs, these gnarled, enlarged veins are caused by a faulty valve or weak vein wall. Although primarily a cosmetic concern for many people, varicose veins bulge and block blood flow, which can cause discomfort and lead to larger health problems (such as eczema, pigmentation, ulceration, and bleeding) if proper blood flow is not restored.
