After hours of sparring on their respective social media platforms, it's clear that the relationship between Trump and the world's richest man has soured. The day began with Trump saying he was "disappointed" with Musk's criticisms of his spending bill, with Musk later accusing Trump of "ingratitude", adding: "Without me, Trump would have lost the election". The two exchanged threats and insults throughout the day on subjects including Space X, Jeffrey Epstein, Doge and EV subsidies. It remains to be seen whether the pair can reconcile when they have a scheduled phone call with each other on Friday, according to reports.
