Dear John , Welcome to our new-look newsletter! Instead of the usual weekly round up of classes (you can still find these on the classes page of the website), our aim is to delve deeper into a specific theme, with curated classes, articles, programs and courses to inspire, enrich and motivate your practice. To make sure you have time to read, learn, practice (and digest!), we’ll be sending out these newsletters every 2 weeks. |
|
Since change is about the only constant at the moment, it seemed timely to kick off our new-look newsletter on the theme of yoga philosophy which, in these precarious times can offer some comfort, insight and perspective. In the words of Anat Geiger, “ancient yogis who have walked this road before us left us maps and clues, and the stories they tell vibrate as true and wonderful inside of us.” |

Whilst the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali were compiled around 2,000 years ago, its Sutras (or aphorisms) remain as relevant today as they ever were. In essence, they're a kind of ‘guidebook’ which offer lessons to the modern-day yogi on the purpose of yoga, how to live a more connected and meaningful life, and how to stay steady and true to our own paths even if the winds of change try to blow us off course.
And who, in this time of great uncertainty, doesn’t want that?
Love Esther and the team. |
