Perhaps because I suffer from anxiety, we here at HuffPost Parents have written quite a lot about anxiety and kids — and you readers have responded with kindness and stories of you and your own kids. And maybe it’s because I see so much of myself in my older kid, but I worry he’s developing my anxious tendencies as he ages. Plus, let’s be honest, this year has not helped things!
So reporter Caroline Bologna asked a handful of child psychologists about how they handle their own children’s anxiety. Their answers are extremely practical and useful, and I’ve already used some of the “scripts” offered on my kid.
Here’s hoping these are helpful to you, too. Be safe and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
