Coles has signed a five-year deal with Microsoft to change the way Australians shop and bolster sales at the supermarket chain, thanks to artificial intelligence.

Google is expanding its $1bn undersea cable project to connect Darwin and Singapore via Christmas Island, a move it says will boost “reliability and resilience” of Australia’s internet connectivity and provide a new link between the US and Asia.

Samsung wants to get into bed with you and expects you’ll pay $699 to let it – all in exchange for some sleep data and an AI-powered energy score each morning that it claims can show how recharged your body’s battery is.
