Time Out No. #82 | Tuesday 2 November 2021

COP26 kicked off in Glasgow this weekend. The leading global forum on climate change feels more urgent and crucial than ever. And so it’s only right that world leaders are gathering to review their emissions targets – and (hopefully) halt the climate emergency in its tracks. To mark the occasion, we asked our Scotland Correspondent to round up the businesses and year-round projects in Glasgow that place the climate crisis front and centre. Here are seven pioneering eco-friendly firms and initiatives we really rate.

Cities can be pretty tough places to live. No one smiles that much, rent is too high and everybody’s always talking about how tired they are. So thank goodness for places. That tiny art gallery that serves weirdly good lasagne. The café that plays actually decent music. And, of course, the bar or club you love. We want to hear about them all. Don’t hesitate: nominate. We’ll feature the best ones in Time Out as part of the Time Out Love Local Awards 2021, which has just launched in 14 cities around the world.
