Monet sketch: The U.S. is asking a judge to decide who owns a drawing by Impressionist master Claude Monet that it's been holding since last year. The sketch ended up in the small town of Sulphur after surviving war and Nazi looting and finding its way into the hands of European collectors and, eventually, a French Quarter antiques gallery. IVF bill: Louisiana lawmakers are working on a bill that would protect in vitro fertilization services in light of an Alabama Supreme Court ruling that equated frozen embryos with children after the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade. Meghan Friedmann has the details.
Good news, bad news: The Sewerage & Water Board has been installing smart meters that will allow the agency to more accurately tally the bill for residential and commercial water usage. Unfortunately, the agency told the city council, that means many customers will find their bills going up after the switch occurs. Ben Myers has this report.
