Data Ethics Is Becoming More Important for Marketers

A WFA survey found a majority of employees would consider leaving their jobs over their company's poor data practices. In fact, 74% of CMOs surveyed said data ethics would become a more important role in their positions in the next five years.

Data privacy in the U.S. was put under a new lens earlier this year when the California Privacy Act first went into effect. But, brands and publishers have had to rethink what sort of data is collected—and how that is communicated to consumers—to prepare for the legislation to finally be enforced next month.

In other news, Facebook employees are livid over the company's policy on Trump's posts, Pinterest added a new tab for shopping and here's a guide on saving tweet drafts on a desktop.

Need a break? Take a listen to this soundtrack you can leave on for your doggo when you do finally go back to work in the office (if that day ever comes).
