When foundations stop supporting certain causes — or exit grant making entirely — how can their leaders ensure grantees and partners can continue their vital work?
Join the Chronicle of Philanthropy and The Nicholson Foundation on Thursday, November 4, at 2 PM ET, for Graceful Exits: How Foundations Can Offer Strong Support As Grants End.
Grant makers will learn how to plan an exit that allows grantees and partners to live on. Nonprofit leaders will gain insights into how they guided grant recipients toward financial strength and sustainability as the foundation approached its closing in December 2021.
Board President Jan Nicholson and Executive Director Kim Boller will explain how to:
- Prepare grantees and partner organizations to keep the work going
- Manage the exit process and communicate plans to grantees, staff, and partners
- Create a positive culture to support and retain employees
This session qualifies for 1.25 CFRE credits.
