How gamma knife surgery treats brain tumors

This is a form of brain surgery without any incisions. Patients with benign and malignant brain tumors often are candidates for noninvasive gamma knife stereotactic radiosurgery. It pinpoints high doses of radiation on the tumor with little impact on surrounding healthy tissue.
